Dilit (Divulgazione Lingua Italiana), was established in 1974. It was one of the first language schools in Italy to teach Italian as a Foreign Language and has established itself as one of the most prestigious Italian Language Schools in the country today. The school caters for students from all over the world at all levels and with a wide variety of needs. Each year about 2000 students from more than 60 countries come to Dilit International House.

The school is located in the centre of Rome, just a short walk from the main railway and bus station and is very well connected to the major sights of the city.

The school offers a wide range of courses, from General Italian to special interest courses:
- GENERAL ITALIAN: All levels are available, from absolute beginners to advanced. The minimum age is 16. Tuition can be in a group (15, 20, 25 or 30 lessons per week) or individual. The maximum number of students is 14 or 6 for small groups. Students who already know some Italian can start the course on any Monday after a placement test.

Group Intensive 15 lesson/week: afternoons, 3 lessons a day, from 2 to 52 weeks;
Group Intensive 20 lessons/week: mornings or afternoons, 4 lessons a day, from 2 to 40 weeks;
Group Intensive 25 lessons/week: mornings and afternoons, 4 lessons a day plus 2.5 lessons in small group twice per week, from 2 to 32 weeks;
Group Intensive 30 lessons per week: mornings and afternoons, 6 lessons a day, from 2 to 28 weeks.

On request the school can arrange whatever sort of accommodation is desired: with host-families, in flats sharing with other students of the school, or independent flats. The families and the flats are classified in two categories: Standard and Standard Plus. Accommodation with host-families or in flats means sleeping in single or double rooms and having free use of the bathroom and kitchen. Change of linen, and electricity and gas consumption are included in the price. For an extra fee host-families will provide breakfast or half-board.

Bucksmore Young Leaders (14-17 years) â An intensive leadership course for mature teenagers looking for more than a typical summer school. Students are taught teamwork, public speaking, negotiation skills, debating, and Business English while networking in an international environment. 28 hours of tuition per week combining lectures, interactive seminars, workshops, and small group work.

World University Preparation (UK) (16-18 years) â A 2-week introduction to UK universities which gives international students the best possible chance of gaining a place at a leading university. Students develop skills for interviews and writing personal statements as well as receiving special tuition in selected subjects (Mathematics, Economics & Management, Science for Medicine, Introduction to the Arts). Previous WUP students are now undergraduates at Cambridge University.

Fitzwilliam College â Cambridge University

Fitzwilliam College is 10 minute walk from the city centre in the grounds of âThe Groveâ â a large Regency era house where Charles Darwinâs wife once lived.

Bucksmore Choice (14-17 years) â A visual and performing arts course for older teenagers. Students receive English tuition as well as choosing weekly Electives: Dance, Drama, Photography, Film Production or Art. The Electives will be studied with teenagers from a local Cambridge private school. 15 hours of English per week plus 11 hours of Elective tuition, including a 2 hour Exhibition at the end of each week.

Churchill College â Cambridge University

Churchill is one of the newest Cambridge University colleges and has excellent facilities including the largest grounds of any college. It is 100 metres from Fitzwilliam and a short walk from the centre.

Bucksmore Cambridge (14-17 years) â An intensive English Language summer school for in the city of Cambridge. A full activity programme includes âFreestyle Afternoonâ allowing students to explore Cambridge with their friends. 22.5 hours of English per week including Trinity Exam preparation. Students also have âFreestyle Afternoonsâ to explore the historic city.

St Hildaâs College â Oxford University

St Hildaâs is a riverside college 10 minutesâ walk from the High Street and next to Magdalen Bridge. It is part of the famous âdreaming spiresâ which make Oxford such an inspiring place to study.

Plumpton College (near Brighton)

Plumpton is a beautiful country school at the bottom of the South Down Hills. It has huge grounds, containing state-of-the-art riding stables, an Animal Care Centre, a working farm and large sports pitches.

Bucksmore Summer â Bucksmoreâs classic summer school for younger teenagers, perfected over 33 years. A comprehensive academic programme of 20 hours of English is combined with a full activity programme including 2 full day and 2 half day excursions.

St Bedeâs International Summer School, part of St Bedeâs School Trust, has been running high-quality residential programmes for children, teenagers and young adults since 1993. Today, St Bedeâs offers 4 different types of programme at 7 locations in Cambridge, London and the South East. In 2011, students came from over 40 different countries.

English & Activities. This course, for students aged from 7 to 18 years, runs in 5 centres (Lancing, Dicker, Windlesham, Vinehall, Eastbourne) all of which are reputable boarding schools in the England. Courses run for 2 to 6 weeks from 1st July to 11th August 2012. In the morning, students have English Lessons, taught by qualified teachers, with 20 or 22.5 hrs of English per week in groups of 14 students maximum per class. In the afternoon, there are sports, activities and clubs, there is a full programme of entertainment in the evening and there are 2 excursions per week. Sports Academy in small groups is available in Tennis, Football, Horse Riding, Flying, Golf & Dance. Discover London. This programme is for 17 to 21 year olds and takes place in Regentâs College, London. There are 25 hours of lessons per week including English Skills, Language Workshops and Academic Seminars in subjects such as Business, Law, Marketing, Management and Computing. There are optional evening and weekend social events, sports and trips in which students are encouraged to participate. The course is open from 1st July to 11th August 2012.

Academic Preparation. This course for 12 to 17 year olds and is ideal for students interested in an academic programme or for those who are joining a year-round boarding school in September. This intensive programme has 30 hours of lessons per week including English Skills, Language Workshops and School Subjects (such as Maths, Science, Economics, Business, Art, Geography) studied at pre-GCSE, GCSE or A level. THE GENERAL ENGLISH COURSES

THE EXAMINATION COURSES

Severnvale is an examining centre for Cambridge ESOL examinations FCE, CAE and CPE. We regularly prepare students for these examinations, as well as for IELTS & TOEFL. Exam courses are available for periods of 6 - 36 weeks. The main programme is similar to the Gen2 intensive general course, with examination-specific preparation classes replacing the âintensive grammarâ lessons for the final 6-week period, giving you the best possible chance to pass your chosen examination.
