Description: Founded in 1973 in Salamanca, the Colegio is an Academic Institution with
a highly qualified teaching staff, with university degrees and a solid experience as
teachers, whose primary aim is to teach and spread the Spanish Language and Culture
of Spain and Latin-America among students and Spanish teachers. The Colegio de
España is situated inside a historic building, built during the seventeenth
century, right in the monumental centre of Salamanca, at only two minutes walking
distance from its famous Plaza Mayor. Amongst its facilities, there is a room for
audiovisuals and conferences; a library and lecture room; a multimedia room with
last generation equipment and WIFI access in the whole building. It features its own
Publishing House, Ambos Mundos, dedicated, among others, to the publication of books
for Spanish Language Teaching to foreigners (Los Verbos Españoles, Ser y Estar, Las
Perífrasis Verbales, El Indicativo, Las Preposiciones en Español, etc.). The
renowned quality of its highly trained and full qualified teachers, the variety of
its academic programs (its programs have been approved by numerous foreign
universities), the rigour and professionalism at work, the excellent quality-price
ratio together with its family atmosphere, have made the Colegio de España one of
the most prestigious schools on an international level for Spanish Language
Teaching.
